The Clifford R. Goldsworthy Outstanding Citizen Award was created in 2024.
Purpose:
The Clifford R. Goldsworthy Outstanding Citizen Award was established to honor individuals who have made significant contributions to the village of Vesper. This award recognizes exceptional service, dedication, and acts of citizenship that positively impact the community.
Nominations:
- Who Can Nominate: Nominations can be submitted by any resident of Vesper, local organizations, village officials, or past award recipients.
- Nomination Form: Nominations must include:
- Nominee's full name and contact information
- A detailed description of the nominee's contributions and impact on the community
- Nominator's full name and contact information
- Any supporting materials (e.g., letters of recommendation, media articles)
Submission Deadline: Nominations must be submitted between September 1st - October 1st to the village clerk or any village official.
To nominate an individual, organization, or business in the Vesper please fill out the Nomination Form.
The selection committee shall consider the following criteria when reviewing nominations for this award:
- Residency: Nominees must be current residents of the Village of Vesper or have a strong, demonstrable connection to the community.
- Members of any village board and elected officials will not be considered until they no longer serve in that capacity provided they have otherwise demonstrated outstanding leadership and vision of progress while serving in such a position for the municipality.
- Age: Nominees must be 18 years or older at the time of nomination.
- Service: Eligible contributions include, but are not limited to, volunteer work, community leadership, acts of kindness, and initiatives that enhance the quality of life in Vesper.
